Product information and care
Each product featured has been made for Balu Balu, or hand selected by us on our travels. We look for items that are Cotton Only, Handmade and Fairtrade. That will be outgrown before they are outworn. That are beautiful to look at and especially to wear....
To ensure the longevity of your garments-
Garments should be hand washed or machine washed on Gentle Cycle with similar weight garments so as not to over work the cotton.
As most garments are dyed with natural vegetable dyes- colours may fade slowly over time- please use gentle eco-friendly products.
Embroidered garments should be hand washed only to prevent pulling of embroidery.
Coloured garments should not be soaked.
Line dry in shade only - cotton may shrink in the dryer, or fade if left in the hot sun on a line for too long.
Vintage garments are described as accurately as possible, however are SECONDHAND and some wear should be expected. All items have been washed before sale.
Homewares are handmade, and mostly antique. Items are described as accurately as possible. Any marks, cracks, age, rust etc are a part of the items history and its beauty, and not to be considered as flaws.
