Antique Jain bowl

Vintage Jain monk bowls. 

These beautiful bowls have layers of stories…hand lathed by artisans in Rajasthan from sturdy yet lightweight rohida wood, said to hold medicinal properties, they are traditionally carried by Jain monks as they travel door to door collecting alms. 

Beautiful rich, earthy colours and worn patina. Each bowl is one of a kind.
