Antique temple bell (ghanta) with a beautiful aged brass patina.
In India, bells are rung frequently and are a part of the general chaotic background noise.
In a temple, or holy place, bells are rung upon entry to ‘wake the gods’ so they may hear your prayers.
Approx 12-14cm high, 10cm diameter.
Each bell has a unique melodious sound.
